Ever Since The Chocolate Rachel Sermanni, Live at the Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh last thursday.

Had a fantastic wee tour with Rachel and the girls this weekend and finished it all off with a great concert at St Andrews in the Square and a few songs at the Celtic Connections Festival Club late last night, I am suffering today!

Here is a review of our gig in the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen the evening after.

“Before long, she was joined onstage by a stripped-down band – a quartet of extremely talented ladies – who took on fiddle, piano and backing vocal duties. While on her own Rachel proved to be a captivating performer, with her band her set soared to new heights. Together they created an enigmatic and engaging performance that enthralled the audience for the best part of an hour.”

Another review of our gig in the Mitchell Theatre supporting Russian Red.

Nice gig in the Pleasance Theatre in Scotland’s capital city tonight, even tho it was VERY COLD!! Off up north to Aberdeen tomorrow to the Lemon Tree.
Here are a couple of really nice reviews from our two gigs with Russian Red the other week in the Mitchell Theatre in Glasgow and Union Chapel in London.
“Sermanni’s set shone with a maturity and complexity of instrumentation with lashings of theatrical drums and percussion on ‘The Fog‘, while her trio of string players accompanied with romantic, lilting touches one moment to scraping, scratching and plucking the next.”
yeeeaa!

Rachel Sermanni’s EP launch tour starts tonight! We (the girls) are off to Edinburgh to play in the Pleasance Theatre. Tomorrow we head to the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen, we play the Ironworks in Inverness on saturday, then back to Glasgow, where the boys will join us for a full band concert at St Andrews in the Square.
The lovely Nick Turner from Watercolour Studio took this photo of us. Ian Grimble, our wonderful producer, is hiding behind Rachel (with her singing bowl!)
